The company
Thirty years of electrical work in the Conejo Valley.
County Line Electric, Inc. was built by Jeff Tucker on the basis of hard work, quality and professionalism. It is a small company on purpose: the people who bid the job are the people on the job, and the owner answers the phone.

Who we are
An electrical contractor first. Everything else grew from that.
County Line Electric, Inc. is a residential and commercial electrical contractor based at 3533 Old Conejo Road, Suite 114, in Newbury Park, in the Conejo Valley of Ventura County. Jeff Tucker has run it for about thirty years. The company holds California contractor license number 949580 and is bonded and insured.
The core of the business has always been new construction: wiring custom homes for general contractors, builders and architects in the Conejo Valley, Malibu, the Westside of Los Angeles and Santa Barbara County. Around that core the company built the specialties a custom home needs: Lutron lighting control and motorized shades, Ketra tunable lighting, whole-home automation, Generac standby generators and EV charging. Since the fires of late 2024 and January 2025, a growing share of the work is rebuilding the electrical systems of homes lost in Pacific Palisades, Altadena, Malibu and the Mountain Fire area near Camarillo.
Because the company is small, it can give each project the kind of attention a large contractor cannot. The goal on every job is the same: the highest quality work and a long working relationship built on trust.
Jeff Tucker
The owner.
[PLACEHOLDER: a short biography of Jeff Tucker in the third person: when he started in the trade, when he founded County Line Electric, the builders and neighborhoods that shaped the company, what he does on a job today. Facts from Jeff, nothing invented. A real photograph of Jeff on a job site replaces the crew photo in the hero once one is supplied.]
[PLACEHOLDER: the crew. How many electricians, how long the senior people have been with the company, and who answers the phone. Only once Jeff confirms the numbers.]

What we stand on
Three things that do not change.
Licensed, every job
CA license #949580, permits pulled, inspections attended, as-builts delivered. Check the license on the CSLB site any time.
One crew, start to finish
The electricians who rough in the house install the Lutron panels, the generator and the automation backbone. No handoffs between companies.
Straight answers
If the panel cannot take the charger, if the generator should be liquid-cooled, if the schedule does not fit, you hear it before you spend money.
Systems we install and service

Lutron and Ketra lighting and shading. Generac standby generators. Manufacturer names identify the equipment we install. License #949580 can be checked at the Contractors State License Board.
About the company
Who owns County Line Electric?
County Line Electric, Inc. is owned and run by Jeff Tucker, a licensed electrical contractor who has worked in the trade for about thirty years. The company is based in Newbury Park, California, in Ventura County.
What is County Line Electric's contractor license number?
California contractor license number 949580, issued by the Contractors State License Board. The number is on the company's plate logo and can be verified on the CSLB website.
Is County Line Electric residential or commercial?
Both. The majority of the work is residential, centered on custom new construction and the systems inside a custom home. The company also takes on commercial electrical work in the same service area.
How long has County Line Electric been in business?
Jeff Tucker has run County Line Electric for about thirty years, serving the Conejo Valley and the surrounding counties from Newbury Park.
How the company works
Small by design.
County Line Electric has never tried to be the largest electrical contractor in Ventura County. The crew is sized so that the people who bid a job are the people on it, so that Jeff Tucker can be on every custom home at the points that matter, and so that a generator customer in Newbury Park gets a service visit from someone who has been to the house before. That is a choice with a cost: the company turns down work when the schedule is full rather than hiring a second crew it cannot supervise. It is also why builders who have used County Line once tend to use it on the next house.
The company works for general contractors, builders, architects and designers on new construction, and directly for homeowners on generators, lighting, automation, EV charging and rebuilds. Commercial electrical work in the same area is taken when it fits.
The license
What CSLB #949580 means.
A California contractor license is issued by the Contractors State License Board after an examination, a background check, a bond and proof of insurance, and it is renewed on a schedule with the bond and the insurance kept current. The number on County Line\'s plate logo is its real license number, and the CSLB site shows its status, its classification and its bond at any time. Hiring a licensed contractor is the difference between a permitted, inspected installation that is insured if something goes wrong and one that is not. County Line pulls a permit on every job that needs one, which is nearly every job it does.
