What is different here
Two building departments for one neighborhood.
The City of Westlake Village is in Los Angeles County and issues its own permits for the homes on the lake and south of the 101. North Ranch, Lake Sherwood and the neighborhoods north of the freeway carry a Westlake Village address but sit in Ventura County, inside the City of Thousand Oaks or unincorporated county, with a different building department and different inspectors. An electrical contractor who works here every week knows which side of the line a house is on before the first phone call ends. Power on both sides is Southern California Edison, and the hillside and lake neighborhoods see the same fire-season shutoffs as the rest of the Conejo Valley.
County Line Electric has worked in Westlake Village since the company started. The lighting control, shading and automation work in the current custom homes around North Ranch and Lake Sherwood is the core of the company's Lutron practice, and its builders are the ones who put County Line on new houses across the valley.

HomeWorks houses, designed with the designer in the room.
Westlake Village estates are where Lutron HomeWorks earns its keep: dozens of lighting zones, keypads engraved for every room, Ketra tunable fixtures in the kitchen and the primary suite, motorized shades on the lake-facing glass, and the whole thing tied to the automation system and a schedule. County Line installs those systems on new construction, with the dimming panels and keypad runs going in at rough-in, and on remodels after an honest survey of what the existing wiring can do.
The Westlake Village lighting page covers the work in detail.

Generators and new construction
The rest of the work here.
Standby generators are a steady part of the Westlake calendar: the hills around the lake and North Ranch lose power in every significant wind event, and a Generac unit with an automatic transfer switch keeps the house, the gate and the pool equipment running. Estimates within 24 hours of the site visit. On new custom homes in North Ranch and Lake Sherwood, County Line is the electrical sub for several local builders, carrying the full scope from temporary power to the final.
