Beverly Hills, 90210
Electrical contractor in Beverly Hills.
Beverly Hills is its own city with its own building department and, unusually for the Westside, its own utility relationship: Southern California Edison, not LADWP. County Line Electric works there on lighting control, automation and the custom homes north of Sunset and in Trousdale where those systems are specified from the first drawing.

What is different here
An island in LADWP territory, with its own rules.
Beverly Hills is an independent city surrounded by Los Angeles, and the differences matter at the panel. Electric service is Southern California Edison, not LADWP, so the metering, service standards and shutoff policies are SCE's. Permits and inspections are the City of Beverly Hills Community Development department's, with a building code and a plan check process that are the city's own. The hillside neighborhoods north of Sunset and the Trousdale Estates sit in the city's very high fire hazard severity zone, and the 2025 fires made standby power a standard line item on new builds and remodels there.
County Line works in Beverly Hills on the systems a serious house here is built around: Lutron HomeWorks lighting control, Ketra tunable light, motorized shades and whole-home automation, and as the electrical sub for builders on custom homes and major remodels. The office is about fifty minutes away in Newbury Park; crews are on site for the duration of each phase.

Lighting designed for the house, not pulled from a catalog.
Beverly Hills houses are where lighting designers do their most detailed work, and the electrical has to match it: hundreds of fixtures on dozens of zones, Ketra in the rooms where color temperature matters, shades on every window that faces the view or the street, and keypads engraved for how the household lives. County Line installs the HomeWorks dimming panels, processor and keypad wiring during rough-in and programs the scenes with the designer and the owner in the room.
Lutron in Beverly Hills and Bel Air covers the work in detail.

Beverly Hills questions
Who provides electricity in Beverly Hills?
Southern California Edison. Unlike the surrounding City of Los Angeles neighborhoods, which are served by LADWP, Beverly Hills is an independent city served by SCE. Electrical permits are issued by the City of Beverly Hills Community Development department. County Line Electric files with both on Beverly Hills projects.
Does County Line Electric install Lutron systems in Beverly Hills?
Yes. County Line Electric designs and installs Lutron HomeWorks lighting control, Ketra tunable lighting and Lutron motorized shades in Beverly Hills homes, including the Trousdale Estates and the hillside neighborhoods north of Sunset, in new construction and in remodels.
Does County Line Electric work for builders in Beverly Hills?
Yes. County Line Electric works as the electrical subcontractor to general contractors and builders on custom homes and major remodels in Beverly Hills, carrying the electrical scope from temporary power through the final inspection and installing the lighting control and automation systems the designer specifies.
Plan check
Beverly Hills reviews the drawings, so the drawings have to be right.
The City of Beverly Hills runs its own plan check, and an electrical plan that does not match the lighting designer's fixture schedule, the mechanical loads or the generator will come back with corrections before the permit is issued. County Line reads the full set before the bid and reconciles the electrical sheets with the rest, so the plan check passes and the rough-in matches the permit. On the Trousdale and north-of-Sunset hillside lots, the fire zone adds requirements for exterior equipment that the city checks too.
The first call
What County Line asks about your project.
The first conversation is short and specific. Which city and, if it is a hillside or a canyon lot, roughly where. What the house has today: the size of the service, whether there is natural gas, whether there is a generator, a Lutron system or an existing automation head end. What you want to be true in six months. Whether there is a builder, an architect, a designer or an integrator already involved, because County Line works with all of them and would rather meet them at the start than at trim. And when the work has to be done, because the honest answer to a question about schedule is the one that decides whether the company is the right fit.
From that call comes a site visit, and from the site visit a written proposal with inclusions and exclusions listed. No number is quoted on the phone, because a number quoted on the phone is a guess, and a guess is what change orders are made of.
